Zard (ザード) is a character in the anime and manga series Saikyo Ginga Ultimate Zero Battle Spirits.
Appearance[]
Zard has blonde hair which is spiked on the sides, and red eyes. He wears a pair of red glasses. Notably, his head is covered by a clear tube, and he wears similar tubes on both shoulders. The one on his head features the guild's skull logo. His outfit includes a green cape with an orange and yellow cloth down the middle. He has white pants and black boots.
Personality[]
Zard is arrogant and prideful in his skill and status. This is somewhat justifiable, becuase he has beaten many opponents. He seemed to have taken an interest in Zero, because he was chosen by ultimates.
Biography[]
Zard is one of the seven galaxy generals. He was on planet Ice Cube, along with the Galaxy Triumvirate, after an ultimate crystal was discovered there. After beating 123 people, the guild won possession of the crystal. That is, until Rei showed up, and challenged them. He battled against Tsuruhashi, and won. Zard was surprised to see that Rei was an ultimate user, and that the new ultimate crystal also chose Rei.
After Basilla disbanded the Seven Galaxy Generals, this angered Zard. He had been loyal to Basilla for so long, and was their number two member. He wanted to keep them around, and be their new leader.
Zard, along with the Triumvirate, went to planet Greensmoothie. They tried to steal Rei's decks. However, Kiriga was disgusted by their behaviour, and challenged Zard to a battle, which Kiriga won.
Zard appeared again at the Justice Cup. When Rei and the others saw him there, they were apprehensive, because of what he did in the past. Zard claimed that he just wanted a fair battle. He was matched against Rei, and while they battled, Rei realized that Zard had changed. He said that Zard was a serious friend. After the match, which Zard lost, he told Rei that he would become stronger, and defeat him one day.

His first deck is a mix of yellow and green, mainly focussing on dark spirits and high speed
