Ultra Awaken (超覚醒, Chō kakusei) is a modified version of Awaken, an ability exclusive to Red. Spirits with this effect have the following effect:
- -You can put any number of cores from your Spirits to this Spirit. Whenever one or more core is put by this effect, refresh this Spirit.
A Red exclusive ability that was introduced together with The PhantomStarDragon Gai-Asura in the Constellation era (with the card actually making its first debut in the previous series, Battle Spirits Shounen Gekiha Dan). While retaining the traits of Awaken of moving cores from spirits a player control to the target spirit, it now also provides the ability to refresh. Instead of sending a big amount of cores around to increase BP or level up like the original Awaken, one tends to move core to the target spirit by the least amount each time to aim for multiple refreshes, which provides huge advantage. In order to avoid two cards of the same effect to loop, every card with Ultra Awaken have the ability: Cores cannot be removed from this Spirit.
