Thunder Contract (雷契約；rai-keiyaku) is a family introduced in BS60, possessed exclusively by the Contract card The PartnerWolf Lampo, and the Green cards with Contract Advent in the same set. The family is a representation to the contract which the wanderer Dan made with Lampo in the lore, and since all the Green cards with Contract Advent are technically a variant of Lampo's power, they have the Thunder Contract family as well.
Play Style[]
As currently all cards in this family are either a Contract card or a Green card with Contract Advent, the deck highly revolves around the Advent mechanic. As part of the new series after the age of Rebirth cards, it also plays around high numbers of counters to differentiate themselves from the previous cards. Cards in this family are also always paired with the Jade Thunder family, often along with a tertiary family which is mostly irrelevant to the play style of the deck, so the play style may overlap with other Jade Thunder family cards.
The end goal of the deck is to ramp cores early for smooth plays, as well as repetitive attacks. As such, it is advised to always put Lampo in the starting hand, so that the player may have an unremovable Advent base for the Advent cards in the deck, in which the Advent cards are a crucial element for the deck's offence. Also, due to the Advent conditions of the Flame Contract family cards, they are limited to only capable of adventing onto Lampo or each other. It is also advised to start second with this deck, as with a relatively good, the player can already play three cards on their first turn with two attacks, while boosting counters to eight, meaning that on the next turn they can already advent the finisher of the deck, The ThunderWolfFangKing Grom-Lampo, and using it at full potential. Just within the Jade Thunder family, there are already two cards which can do active draws, so the deck is not exactly at risk of running out of steam either, in terms of both board presence and defence.
