- Manaka is one of the two major characters in the lore of Heroes Saga, and the speaker of most flavor text of cards in the main sets of the era other than the one under the two Authentic History chronicles.
- He is the central figure in the Authentic History: Chronicles of Manaka, and is named the "God Slayer Hero".
- His partner is Lord-dragon, simple called "Lord" in the flavor texts, who guided him since he was young and went to numerous battlefields together. They suffered great damage when fighting against the Vanity Deities but finally recovered, with Lord evolved into Bazzel.
- He rides on Ikazuchi to battles. His family, Dragon Rider, comes from that.
- He met Kei on the battlefield when both Kei and him was 9 years old, and married her after accepting her proposal at the armistice conference of the Hero War.
- He was not interested in politics, nor being a lord or emperor. He passed on his right to rule the land of Dark Shield to Arthur and continue to live with Kei simply as her husband. After Kei passed away, he spent his late years in Wind Shield. And there, he trained Kunimi (brief story in BSC15), the son of Kei and him, who eventually became the successor of Kei as the Six Shield Emperor at a very young age.
- Compared to Kei, Manaka is more friendly and easy to approach. In Light Shield, he lost an arm due to the betrayal of a certain pentan and his fellows. He still fought for the country later, however, after recovered. His selflessness all the way through touched Arthur and many others, earning him even higher popularity and liking than Kei. The contrast of his actual image in the flavors and the Authentic History: Chronicles of Manaka, which also includes the deviation of actual facts, is very entertaining to read.
- In the Grand Advent Saga lore, together with Kei, they were entrusted the power of Lolo by Lolo himself to revive Grandlolo, and Grandwalker Kei and Grandwalker Manaka.
