Trivia

  • This card is based on Asclepius, the son of Apollo, a hero and the god of medicine in Greek mythology. He wields a staff which is a serpent-entwined rod, which becomes the symbol of medicine and probably explaining his Dark Snake family. As a physician, his skill was so good that he surpassed even his father, Apollo, and could bring the dead back to live, having masted the arts of resurrection, as shown by his "Summon from Trash" effect. He was, however, killed by Zeus also because of him being too good at bringing the dead back to live. His body was placed among the stars as the constellation, Ophiuchus. This also partly explains the Dark Snake family. He was later resurrected as a god by Zeus.
