Extra Information

The first card with both the Shellman and Blade Beast family.
As mentioned by its producer, Suganuma Hisayoshi, the design referenced Myrmecia, also called bulldog ants, a type of ants famous for their elongated mandibles and claimed to be the strongest kind of ant. It is chosen so that it also fits in the Blade Beast family, a family Suganuma likes apart from Shellman. While what Myrmecia has is mandibles, it probably won't look cool enough if the art focuses on extended fangs, so it is implemented in terms of claws instead.
In the lore Suganuma has in mind when producing the card, Ant-Res, who has been relying on his sword so far to fight, has finally awakened its true power and manifested in this form.
