The FallenKnight Orcus

The Fallen Knights (てんdaten kishi) are a series of cards that first appeared in BS27, a sub-archetype of The Knights. They all share the family Evil Shadow, and are all Purple. Most Fallen Knights have the keyword Poison Blade, or an effect that supports the use of Poison Blade. These Spirits are based on the fallen angels from the Bible and the Quran, such as "Watcher (Grigori)". Grigori was a parent of Nephilim, and was the one who caused the great flood of the famous Noah's Ark. The first fallen angel on the list is Azazel.

Play Style

The Fallen Knights are the only deck which use the Poison Blade keyword, so the relation between the archetype and the keyword goes hand in hand. Besides that, since the Fallen Knights are also in the Evil Shadow family, they can make use of some supports designed for the family. The concept of Poison Blade is slowly seeping the poison into the opponent, represented by the face-down cards they put under opposing Spirits and Ultimates.

Besides Spirits and Ultimates with Poison Blade, the deck also makes use of cards which take advantage with opposing Spirits and Ultimates with cards under them. One thing to notice is that most Poison Blade activate when the Spirits and Ultimates attack or block, meaning they often face the situation of too low BP. As such, players can also look for effects which help with battles, or those which reward when own Spirits are destroyed, such as Immortality. The deck focuses on slow life burn in accordance to the number of face-down cards under opposing Spirits and Ultimates, using The FallenKnight Beliard and The DarkRideDeity Nemesis. As the deck is too slow for the current environment, many players instead adapt it with Blue milling cards or The DragonEvilMarquis Overwhelm (which has Octa Ultimate-Trigger) to attempt a deck out win condition.

Recently, due to the existence of Beliard (which because of its Japanese spelling, contains the name "Belial"), new supports for Ultraman Belial are also made use in the deck.

However, most cards in the deck are ineffective if the opposing Spirits and Ultimates do not have cards underneath them, so if the opposing field has some sort of immunity to prevent Poison Blade from activating, the deck is at a loss. The same problem happens if the opposing deck does not have a lot of Spirits and Ultimates, such as Nexus control decks.
