Trivia

  • This card is based on the mythological creature in Greek myths of the same name, Teumessian Fox, which is said to be sent by the gods (one said it was Dionysus) and fated never to be caught (as the flavor also suggests). It was sent to prey on the people in Thebes of ancient Greece. Amphitryon, tasked to eliminate the creature, fetched the dog who never failed to catch its prey, Laelaps, and used it against the Teumessian Fox. The hunt formed a paradox and went on forever until Zeus put them both as constellations on the sky, Canis Major (Laelaps) and Canis Minor(Fox).
