Renard William Ardley (レナード・ウィリアム・アードレイ) is a character in the anime and manga series Battle Spirits Heroes.
Appearance[]
He has short blonde hair, with a green-ish tint, and blue eyes. He wears a school uniform, which consists of a white shirt with a blue ribbon, blue pants and a blue jacket and a light brown coat over that.
Personality[]
Renard is chivlrous, as he wants to be a knight. While he can come off as somewhat smug, he's usually quite friendly, and speaks very politely. He admires Arata.
Biography[]
Renard is a card battler wo became one of Britain's representatives in the world tournament. His dream is to become part of the personal guard of knights for the queen of England.
He first met Hajime after scaring off a thug who tried to steal his wallet. They got into a battle, which Renard easily won.
When he met with the others again, he was bothered after seeing that his hero, the champion Arata, was just a shameless guy who liked to chase after girls. After seeing Arata battle, however, he felt better about him.
In the world tournament, he became the D block's representative, after defeating Manabu Ohizumi. He made it into the semi-finals, where he would battle Hajime. During that battle, he lost, but accepted it and planned to simply become stronger than Hajime in the future. He revealed that Hajime was the one who helped him realize that he had to fight together with him spirits, and made him enjoy Battle Spirits.

Although he states to be able to use any color, he's mainly seen using purple. His key card is The KnightHero Swordius Arthur, and he's a brave user.
