Tribute

Q1. What is Tribute?
A1. It is a special method of summoning that has you sacrifice a spirit of a specified cost or higher.

Q2. What is the specified cost?
A2. It is the “cost of 5 or more” part of an effect like “Tribute: A cost of 5 or more -> Your Trash”.

Q3. Where is the “specified area”?
A3. It is the “trash” part of an effect like “Tribute: A cost of 5 or more -> Your Trash”.

Q4. What must be done for the “Tribute: A cost of 5 or more -> Your Trash” part when summoning a spirit?
A4. After the summon cost is paid, you must choose one of your cost 5 or more spirits (the specified cost) and send all the core from it to your trash (the specified area).

Q5. When a spirit with Tribute is summoned through Divine Wind, can Tribute be ignored as well as the summon cost?
A5. No, it cannot be ignored. Even when summoned without cost, Tribute cannot be ignored.

Q6. When do “when this spirit becomes the target of Tribute” effects activate?
A6. It activates when it is targeted by Tribute and before that spirit’s core is moved to the specified area.

Q7. Can a cost 8 when braved brave spirit be used as the target for “Tribute: A cost of 6 or more -> Void”?
A7. Yes, it can be.

Q8. When a brave spirit is used for Tribute, can the brave of the brave spirit has has its core go to 0 and is destroyed remain on field using core from the field and reserve?
A8. Yes, it can remain.

Charge

Q1. What is Charge?
A1. When you have a spirit with Charge and use an effect specified on that Charge, the effect's number increases.

Q2. Can a single spirit have multiple Charges?
A2. Yes, it can. Charge is not color-specific.

Q3. When you have 3 of the same Charge, can you activate only 2 of them?
A3. No, you cannot choose which Charges to activate. All must be activated.

Q4. Does Charge (Increase the BP limit of your destruction effects by 1000) also increase the limit of destruction effects specifying "the same BP as this spirit" or "with BP less than or equal to this spirit's"?
A4. No, the limits of effects that do not specify a number cannot be increased.

Q5. Does Charge (Increase the number of cards moved to your opponent's trash from their deck due to your effects by 1) give +1 to the number of cards discarded by Crush?
A5. Yes, the number of cards discarded by Crush increases by one.

Q6. Does (Increase the BP limit of your destruction effects by 1000) also work with Burst effects?
A6. Yes, burst effects that specify a number also have the limit of their BP destruction effects increased by +1000 BP.

Q7. Does Charge (Increase the number of cores moved from the field to the reserve due to your effects by 1) increase the number of cores sent from the life to the reserve?
A7. No, it does not increase it. Core removal is sending core from spirits and nexuses to the reserve, and does not include sending core from the life to the reserve.

Q8. Does Charge (Increase the number of cores moved from the field to the reserve due to your effects by 1), when used with effects like The PirateDeity Piscegalleon's "send one core from all spirits to the reserve", increase the number of cores sent by 1 and thus send two cores each from all spirits to the reserve?
A8. No, two cores are not removed each. In this case, all targeted spirits have one core each sent to the reserve, and a single extra spirit has one core sent from it to the reserve.

Q9. Does Charge (Increase the number of cores moved from the field to the reserve due to your effects by 1), when used with effects like Beat Burst's "send all but one core to the reserve", increase the number of core moved?
A9. No, the limit is specified as one core being left on, so an extra core cannot be moved to the reserve.

Q10. Does Charge (Increase the number of Spirits refreshed by your effects by 1) let you target another spirit to refresh when a "refresh this spirit" effect is used?
A10. No, it does not. "This spirit" applies to only one spirit, thus other spirits cannot be refreshed.

Q11. Does Charge (Increase the BP decreasing of your effects by 1000) make effects like Thunder Branch's "treat the LV1 BP as 2000" effect become "treat the LV1 BP as 1000"?
A11. No, it does not. Thunder Branch's effect is not a BP minus effect.

Q12. Does Charge (Increase the number of cards moved to your opponent's trash from their deck due to your effects by 1) increase the effect of all deck destruction effects by 1?
A12. Yes, all are increased by 1. However, it does not increase the number written on the effect by 1, but the number of cards that are ultimately discarded from the deck.

Q13. Does Charge (Increase the number of cores moved from the field to the reserve due to your effects by 1), when used with effects like The EvilCapricornusDeity Stein-Bolg's where the place to move core is changed, is that core removal effect also increased?
A13. No, it is not. While the number of core would normally be increased, in this case the core is not moved to the reserve, so the number sent is not increased.

Q14. Does Charge (Increase the number of cards moved to your opponent's trash from their deck due to your effects by 1) increase the number of cards sent when the number of cards discarded by a deck destruction effect is 0?
A14. No, it does not. At least 1 card must be discarded to increase the number by 1.

Q15. Does Charge affect the effects of ultimates?
A15. No, it does not.

Q16. Does Charge affect spirit and magic effects that target ultimates?
A16. Yes, it does.

Q17. Does Charge affect the summon effect of a brave that is direct braved to an ultimate?
A17. No, it does not.

Rush

Q1. What is Rush?
A1. When you fulfill the Rush condition, such as “when you have a green symbol”, the rush effect activates activates after the effect above it resolves. Rush is not a color-specific effect.

Q2. When the Rush condition is fulfilled, is the Rush effect activated at the same time as the above effect?
A2. No, that is incorrect. The Rush effect activates after the above effect activates. However, even if the above effect activates when destroyed, the Rush effect activates before that.

Q3. Such as when there is no opposing spirit that has 7000 or more BP while using Dark-Uranus’ when braved effect, when the effect above the Rush cannot activate, can Rush still activate?
A3. If it is at the timing when the effect above Rush is activated, even if the above effect cannot be activated, Rush can be activated if the condition is fulfilled.

Q4. Is Dark-Caribou at LV1 treated as a spirit with Rush?
A4. No, it is not. If it is not at a level where it has Rush, it is not treated as a spirit with Rush.

Q5. If there are no green symbols on field when Dark-Caribou is at LV2, is it treated as a spirit with Rush?
A5. Yes, it is. If it is at a level where it has Rush, then it is treated as a spirit with Rush.

Q6. If summon effects of spirits do not activate due to The Sapphire Huge Labyrinth’s LV2 effect, can the Rush effect of Kefaredagger activate even if the above effect cannot?
A6. No, it cannot. Rush is also a “when summoned” timing, so if “when summoned” effects cannot activate, neither effect can be used.

Q7. When you have a yellow symbol on field and attack with The BlackHeavenFox Nega-Ninetail’s Rush activated, if the yellow symbol is gone before the block declaration, can opposing spirits block The BlackHeavenFox Nega-Ninetail?
A7. Yes, they can block. During the battle, the moment continuous effects that do not have “during this turn” written on them and Rush effects that activate after a specific timing do not have their Rush conditions fulfilled, those effects are negated, similar to when a spirit’s level is lowered mid-battle.

Q8. When you do not have a yellow symbol on field and attack with The BlackHeavenFox Nega-Ninetail, if you use Additional Color during the flash timing before block declaration to add a yellow symbol, can opposing spirits block The BlackHeavenFox Nega-Ninetail?
A8. No, they cannot block. During the battle, the moment continuous effects that do not have “during this turn” written on them and Rush effects that activate after a specific timing have their conditions fulfilled, those effects can be activated, similar to when a spirit’s level is raised mid-battle.

Q9. When there are two Rush effects and both can be activated, must they be activated in order after the above effect?
A9. No, as the two effects have the same timing, the player that uses the effect can choose which one goes first.

Draw Blade

Q1. What is Draw Blade?
A1. It is an effect where you can summon a brave card in the family "Exalted Sword" that can brave with the spirit that activated Draw Blade from your hand without paying the cost. Draw Blade is not a color-specific effect.

Q2. Can braves summoned through Draw Blade be summoned in spirit condition?
A2. Yes, they can.

A3. Yes, they can.

Q4. Do the "When Summoned" effects of the summoned braves activate?
A4. Yes, they do.

Q5. When cost 7 or less spirits can't brave through The DemonKing Balor's effect, can a brave card in the family "Exalted Sword" be summoned through a cost 7 or less spirit's Draw Blade?
A5. Yes, it can be direct braved, but it cannot be summoned in spirit condition. Please make sure the brave condition is met per the "one brave card in the family Exalted Sword that can brave with this spirit" part.

Q6. Can an already braved spirit with Draw Blade when attacking summon a brave card in the family "Exalted Sword"?
A6. Yes, even if it is already braved, the spirit with Draw Blade can summon braves that it meets the brave condition of in spirit form.

Q7. Can a cost 3 spirit that has braved once already to become cost 7 summon a brave in the family "Exalted Sword" that has a brave condition of cost 5 or more through a when attacks Draw Blade effect?
A7. No, it cannot. Only braves with a condition that include Cost 3s can brave with that spirit.

A8. Can brave cards in the removed from game area be summoned through Draw Blade?
A8. No, they cannot be summoned.

Q9. A cost 3 spirit that can brave with 2 braves is braved to become Cost 7 and activates Draw Blade when attacking. Can it summon a brave card in the family "Exalted Sword" with a brave condition of cost 5 or more?
A9. Yes, it can be summoned. Braves with a condition that include Cost 7s can brave with that spirit.

Ultimate-Trigger

Q1. When the cost of the card sent from the deck to the trash by Ultimate-Trigger is the same as your ultimate’s cost, does the Ultimate-Trigger hit?
A1. No,the same cost does not qualify as a hit. The cost of the ultimate must be higher.

Q2. Can Ultimate-Trigger be prevented through “deck can’t be discarded from” effects?
A2. No, it cannot be. Sending cards to the trash through Ultimate-Trigger does not count as deck destruction.

Q3. What is Critical Hit?
A3. It is an effect that activates when Ultimate-Trigger hits and the hit card fits the condition described.

Q4. When the hit effect cannot be activated, such as Ultimate-Kingtaurus’ Ultimate-Trigger when the opponent has no spirits, can Critical Hit still be used?
A4. Yes, it can be.

Q5. What is a guard?
A5. A guard is when Ultimate-Trigger does not hit.

Q6. Does Critical Hit activate after the hit effect?
A6. No, as long as it does not specify a different time, it activates at the same time as the hit effect.

Q7. What is Double Ultimate-Trigger?
A7. Two cards are sent from the top of the opponent’s deck to the trash, and if one of the two cards has a lower cost than the ultimate’s cost, the hit effect can be activated.

Q8. Is Double Ultimate-Trigger treated as Ultimate-Trigger?
A8. Yes, that is correct.

Q9. One card from among the two cards sent to the trash by Double Ultimate-Trigger hit, but the other did not. At this time, do “when guarded” effects activate?
A9. No, they do not. If at least one hit, then Double ultimate-Trigger is not guarded.

Q10. What is Double Hit?
A10. When both of the cards sent to the trash by Double Ultimate-Trigger hit.

Q11. Does Double Hit activate after the hit effect?
A11. No, as long as it does not specify a different time, it activates at the same time as the hit effect.

Q12. When comparing cost with Ultimate-Trigger, are the cost of braves added to those of braved ultimates.
A12. Yes, that is correct.

Q13. What is Cross Ultimate-Trigger?
A13. It is an effect that happens after Ultimate-Trigger is resolved if the conditions are met. Like Ultimate-Trigger,one card from the top of the opponent’s deck is sent to the trash, and if that card’s cost is less than the ultimate’s cost, a hit effect may activate.

Q14. Is Cross Ultimate-Trigger treated as Ultimate-Trigger?
A14. Yes, that is correct. Trigger Counter can be used when Cross Ultimate-Trigger hits, and other “when Ultimate-Trigger hits” effects can activate.

Q15. Does Cross-Ultimate Trigger occur after Ultimate-Trigger and all effects springing from it, such as “when hits”, “when guards”, and effects when destroyed?
A15. Yes, that is correct. However, bursts triggered by Ultimate-Trigger are resolved after Cross-Ultimate Trigger and all other non-burst effects resolve.

Q16. Even if Ultimate-Trigger is guarded, can Cross Ultimate-Trigger still activate if its condition is fulfilled and it remains on field after all effects relating to Ultimate-Trigger resolve?
A16. Yes, that is correct.

Q17. Can Cross Ultimate-Trigger be activated after Ultimate-Trigger and other effects when attacking are resolved?
A17. No, it cannot be. When Ultimate-Trigger resolves and Cross Ultimate-Trigger can be used, Cross Ultimate-Trigger must be resolved first.

Q18. With effects that prevent Ultimate-Trigger from happening, such as with The AstralKnightSpear Gacrux’s brave effect, can Cross Ultimate-Trigger still be used?
A18. No, it cannot be. If Ultimate-Trigger is not activated, Cross Ultimate-Trigger cannot be used.

Trigger Counter

Q1. What is Trigger Counter?
A1. When the opponent's U-Trigger hits, this effect allows you to summon/use cards from the hand before the hit effect activates.

Q2. When an Ultimate is destroyed through Trigger Counter, what happens first: the hit effect of U-Trigger, or moving the destroyed Ultimate to the trash?
A2. The effect when destroyed activates first if applicable, then it is moved to the trash.

Q3. When an Ultimate whose U-Trigger hit is destroyed, returned to the hand, or otherwise is removed from the field through Trigger Counter, does the hit effect activate?
A3. No, the hit effect does not activate.

Q4. When an opposing Ultimate's summon U-Trigger hits, can a brave card that specifies "a battling opposing Ultimate" in its Trigger Counter effect be summoned?
A4. Yes, it can be summoned.

Q5. Can braves summoned through Trigger Counter be direct braved?
A5. Yes, they can be summoned with a direct brave.

Q6. How many Trigger Counters can be used when an Ultimate-Trigger hits?
A6. Any number of Trigger Counters can be used. In that case, all Trigger Counter cards being used must be shown and the turn player decides what order they activate in.

Q7. The opponent's U-Trigger hits and you use three Trigger Counters. If the first Trigger Counter destroys the attacking Ultimate and the second treats the U-Trigger as a guard, what happens to the next cards?
A7. They cannot be used, and as such return to the hand without paying the cost.

Q8. When a brave card is summoned through Trigger Counter, do effects regarding summoning through Trigger Counter or summoning braves simultaneously activate?
A8. No, they do not. Once the cost is paid and the brave is successfully summoned, the "after summoning" effect activates first. After that, "when a brave is summoned" and other effects caused by Trigger Counter activate at the same time.

Q9. When a U-Trigger is guarded through Trigger Counter, do "when U-Trigger is guarded" effects activate?
A9. Yes, they can activate.

Q10. When an Ultimate whose U-Trigger hit is destroyed through Trigger Counter and prevented from activating its hit effect, do "when U-Trigger is guarded" effects activate?
A9. No, they cannot activate.

Q11. When a U-Trigger hits and the targets of the effect have been selected, can Trigger Counter be used then?
A11. No, it cannot be used. The player who had their U-Trigger hit must first check whether their opponent has any Trigger Counter, and then chooses their targets.

Q12. When a Double U-Trigger hits, can Trigger Counter be used?
A12. Yes, it can be used.

Q13. When a Double U-Trigger makes a Double Hit and the Trigger Counter effect depends on the hit card, what happens?
A13. The player using Trigger Counter must choose one of the hits to use the card on.

Q14. When only one of a Double U-Trigger and the Trigger Counter effect depends on the hit card, can the guarded card be chosen?
A14. No, it cannot be chosen.

Q15. When a Double U-Trigger makes a Double Hit and the Trigger Counter guards it, do both the hit effect and the Double Hit effect not activate?
A15. No, they do not. The entire Double U-Trigger is treated as a guard.

Q16. Can cards that are removed from game be used or summoned through Trigger Counter?
A16. No, they cannot be used or summoned through Trigger Counter.

Q17. If an U-Trigger is not guarded when Trigger Counter is used, if the spirit targeted for the hit effect is depleted to pay the cost, can a new target for the hit effect be chosen?
A17. Yes, the target is re-chosen. If the spirit chosen for the hit effect cannot stay on field while the hit effect is resolving, the effect must still be activated to the extent that it can be.

Q18. When U-Trigger hits and its effect cannot be used, can the opponent use Trigger Counter?
A18. Yes, they can.

Q19. When Cross U-Trigger hits, can Trigger Counter be used?
A19. Yes, it can be.

Spirit Soul

Q1. What is Spirit Soul?
A1. When summoning an ultimate card, spirits with this effect gain a symbol of the color designated on the card, and can be used to reduce the cost of Ultimates.

Q2. What happens to the symbols added through Spirit Soul after the ultimate card is finished summoning?
A2. After an Ultimate card is summoned, the symbols given by Spirit Soul are removed, and the cards return to their former state.

Ultimate Hand

Q1. What is Ultimate Hand?
A1. When a burst card in your hand has its condition fulfilled, once per turn, you can activate that burst from your hand.

Q2. Can a burst activated with Ultimate Hand immediately activate its burst effect?
A2. No, just like regular bursts, the burst effect activates after all other active effects resolve.

Q3.When activating both a set burst and a burst activated through Ultimate Hand, which occurs first?
A3. The burst that was activated first resolves first. After resolving all effects stemming from that effect, the latter burst may be resolved.

Q4. Can bursts in the hand be activated through Ultimate Hand even when the opponent uses a “bursts cannot be activated” effect?
A4. Yes, they can. Ultimate Hand is unaffected by the opponent's“bursts cannot be activated” effects.

Q5. While there is one ultimate with Ultimate Hand: Red and one ultimate with Ultimate Hand: Purple on your field, can they each activate a burst once?
A5. No, they cannot. Even when there are two ultimates with Ultimate Hand on field, the effect can only be used once per turn, even if the designated colors are different.

Q6. You declare the activation of a burst with a “when your spirit is destroyed/depleted by the opponent” through Ultimate Hand. After that, instead of being sent to the trash, the spirit depleted/destroyed by the opponent remains on field or returns to your hand through effects. In that case, does the activated burst return to the hand?
A6. Yes, that is correct.

Q7. Can a set burst and a burst in the hand be declared activated simultaneously?
A7. No, they cannot be. Pick the order which they are to be activated in.

Q8. The number of bursts that you can activate via Ultimate Hand is not written, so can two or more bursts be simultaneously declared activated?
A8. No, they cannot be. Bursts are declared one at a time, so once one is declared, Ultimate Hand has been used, and a second burst cannot be activated.

Q9. After a burst has been activated through Ultimate Hand and the ultimate with Ultimate Hand is removed from field before the burst effect activates, does the activated burst return to the hand?
A9. No, it does not. If the ultimate with Ultimate Hand is removed from field, if the burst conditions are activated, that burst remains activated. That burst also is still unaffected by “bursts cannot be activated” effects.

Q10. Can “discard a burst” effects discard bursts activated by Ultimate Hand?
A10. No, they cannot. Only set bursts can be discarded by these effects.

Catalyze

Q1. What is Catalyze?
A1. By sending Soul Core to your trash, you can activate your set Soul Burst ignoring the burst conditions.

Q2. What is the “X” part of “Catalyze: X”?
A2. The “X” (X being a color, varying by card) of the “Catalyze: X” effect indicates what color of Soul Burst can be activated. “Catalyze: All Color” can activate all colors of Soul Bursts. If activated by Catalyze, some cards may have an additional effect.

Q3. Can Soul Bursts activated by Catalyze immediately use their burst effects?
A3. Yes, that is correct. Like normal bursts, they must activate all their effects once activated.

Q4. When you have an ultimate with Ultimate Hand, can you activate a Soul Burst in your hand with Catalyze?
A4. No, you cannot. Catalyze can only activate set Soul Bursts.

Q5. When your Soul Burst is activated through Catalyze, do “after your burst is activated” effects activate?
A5. Yes, they activate.

Q6. When a spirit that has Catalyze from LV1 has only Soul Core on it, can it use Catalyze while depleting itself?
A6. No, the effect cannot activate.

Q7. When a spirit that has Catalyze from LV2 attacks at LV2 and becomes LV1 when sending Soul Core to the trash, is the Soul Burst still activated through Catalyze?
A7. Yes, it can be activated.

Soul Drive

Q1. What is Soul Drive?
A1. It is an effect that activates by banishing Soul Core from the game. The banished Soul Core cannot be used again for the game.

A2. Please place the Soul Core someplace where it will not mix with the core in the void, life, reserve, field, and trash.

Q3. Can an Ultimate with only a single Soul Core on it activate Soul Drive while depleting itself?
A3. No, it cannot activate.

Q4. If a LV4 Ultimate that has Soul Drive starting at LV4 becomes LV3 by banishing Soul Core, can it still activate Soul Drive?
A4. Yes, it can.

Awaken

Q1. What is Awaken]?
A1. During flash timing, you can move any number of core from your spirits to your spirit with Awaken. For example, other than spirit A with Awaken, there is spirit B with 3 core and spirit C with 2 core. When spirit A uses Awaken, any number of cores can be taken from spirit B and C and placed onto your spirit with Awaken.

Q2. What timing can Awaken be used at?
A2. It can be used at the flash timings after attack and block declaration during the attack step. While the moving of core is normally only done during the main step, when Awaken is used, core may be moved during the attack step as well.

Q3. When Awaken is used to send core from your spirits to Taurusknight and the core on other spirits become 0, are those spirits destroyed?
A3. Yes, they will be destroyed. Please be careful of where you take core from.

Q4. One core is taken from a spirit using Awaken. At this time, the spirit has enough core for LV2, so does it level up?
A4. Yes, the spirit levels up with the core taken through Awaken.

Q5. When you attack, can core be moved through Awaken after the opponent does not block with their spirits?
A5. No, it cannot be. There is no later flash timing if no block declaration is made.

Q6. Core is moved from your other spirits to Sabecaulus through Awaken, and the core on other spirits become 0. Are those spirits depleted?
A3. Yes, spirits that have their core become 0 are depleted.

Q7. Can Soul Core be moved through Awaken?
A7. Yes, it can be.

Clash

Q1. What is Clash?
A1. When a spirit with Clash attacks, the opponent must block if they have a spirit that is able to.

Q3. Can spirits with “Armor: Red” not block the attacks of spirits with Clash?
A3. No, spirits with Armor: Red may block.

Q4. Must Ultimates block the attacks of spirits with Clash?
A4. No, they do not have to block.

Q5. When there are both ultimates and spirits when a spirit with Clash attacks, must a spirit block?
A5. No, ultimates may block instead.

True-Clash

Q1. What is True-Clash?
A1. When a spirit or ultimate with True-Clash attacks, the opponent must block if they have spirits or ultimates that are able to.

Q2. Can True-Clash be negated by “Ultra Armor: Red”?
A2. Yes, it can be. If all your spirits and ultimates have Ultra Armor: Red, they do not have to block. But if there is a spirit or ultimate that does not have Ultra Armor: Red, you must block.

Q3. Can spirits or ultimates with “Ultra Armor: Red” not block the attacks of spirits or ultimates with True-Clash?
A3. No, spirits or ultimates with Ultra Armor: Red may block.

Q4. Can effects that target spirits or ultimates with Clash also target spirits or ultimates with True-Clash?
A4. No, they may not. Clash and True-Clash are separate effects.

Consecutive Blade

Q1. When Consecutive Blade is activated, must the opponent immediately chose two spirits or ultimates to block with?
A1. No, that is incorrect. It is not a target attack, so blocks happen after the pre-block flash timing occurs.

Q2. When battling two spirits/ultimates at once, how is BP compared?
A2. At the showdown step, the spirit that activated Consecutive Blade compares BP with each of the blocking spirits/ultimates, with whichever ones with lower BP being destroyed.

Q3. Your spirit that activated Consecutive Blade has 10000 BP and is blocked by a spirit with 12000 BP and a spirit with 5000 BP. On the showdown step, which spirits are destroyed?
A3. Your spirit that activated Consecutive Blade and the opposing spirit with 5000 BP are destroyed.

Q4. When battling simultaneously with two spirits and both opposing spirits are destroyed by comparing BP, do “when only the opposing spirit is destroyed by comparing BP” effects activate twice?
A4. No, they only activate once.

Q5. Your spirit that activated Consecutive Blade is blocked by two opposing spirits, both with “when blocks” effects. Do the block effects activate at the same time?
A5. Yes, they activate simultaneously.

Q6. When the opponent does not have two spirits that can block, can Consecutive Blade still be activated?
A6. Yes, it can be.

Q7. When an opposing spirit activates Consecutive Blade and you only have one spirit that can block, must that one spirit block?
A7. Yes, it must block.

Q8. When an opposing spirit activates Consecutive Blade and the only spirits that can block have Heavy Immunity, can you choose whether they block or not?
A8. You can choose whether spirits unaffected by Consecutive Blade block or not. If they block, you can choose one or two of them to block with.

Q9. When an opposing spirit activates Consecutive Blade and the only spirits that can block are a spirit that is affected by Consecutive Blade and one that is not, what happens?
A9. The affected spirit must block. You may choose whether the unaffected spirit blocks or not.

Q10. When an opposing spirit activates Consecutive Blade and the only spirits that can block are a spirit that is affected by Consecutive Blade and two that are not, can you block with the two unaffected spirits and not block with the affected spirit?
A10. Yes, you can.

Q11. When a spirit with Consecutive Blade makes a brave attack with The DarknessDemonSword Dark-Blade, can you use both Consecutive Blade and target attack?
A11. No, you cannot. Consecutive Blade and target attacking are conflicting effects, so when one is activated, the other one cannot be.

Q12. When a spirit with Consecutive Blade makes a brave attack with The CancerAstralArmored BraveCancer and Consecutive Blade is used, what happens?
A12. If only one opposing spirit/ultimate can block, the opponent cannot block. If two or more can block, the opponent must block and have them battle simultaneously. They cannot choose one spirit that actually blocks.

Q13. When a spirit with Consecutive Blade makes a brave attack with The HeavenHornBeast Bicorn and a spirit with 6000 BP and a spirit with 8000 BP block, what happens?
A13. At the showdown step, before simultaneously comparing BP, if there is a spirit with 6000 BP or less, The HeavenHornBeast Bicorn’s effect makes it so the spirit is treated as not blocked, so it does not compare BP with the spirit with 8000 BP.

Q14. When a spirit with Consecutive Blade makes a brave attack with The BladeWolf Beo-Wulf and two spirits are destroyed by comparing BP, are 4 cores from the opponent’s life sent to the reserve?
A14. No, even if two spirits are destroyed at once, the “when destroys” effect happens once, so two cores from the opponent’s life are sent to the reserve.

Showdown

Q1. What is Showdown?
A1. Showdown is an effect that has your Showdown spirit and a spirit of your opponent's choice compare BP during the opponent's start step. After comparing BP, the one with less BP is destroyed, and if the BP is the same, both spirits are destroyed. When only the opposing spirit is destroyed by comparing BP through Showdown, spirits can activate their own effects.

Q2. Is the spirit with Showdown exhausted?
A2. No, it is not exhausted.

Q3. Do "When Attacks" and "When Blocks" activate during Showdown?
A3. No, they do not. Showdown does not count as a battle.

Q4. When the opponent's spirit is destroyed through Showdown, does that count as being destroyed by opposing effects? Or does it count as being destroyed by BP comparison?
A4. It counts as being destroyed by BP comparison. Effects that activate when destroyed by effects do not activate.

Q5. When an opposing spirit with a "cannot be destroyed by opposing effects" effect is selected, is that spirit still destroyed if its BP is lower?
A5. Yes, it is destroyed.

Q6. When a spirit with Showdown is destroyed through Showdown, can a burst with the condition "when your spirit is destroyed by the opponent" be activated?
A6. Yes, it can activate.

Q7. When Showdown is activated, can the opponent select a spirit with Heavy Immunity: Red or one that is unaffected by opposing effects?
A7. No, they cannot.

Q8. Is there flash timing while Showdown is active?
A8. No, there is not.

Curse

Q1. What is Curse?
A1. The opposing spirit that blocks your spirit with Curse is destroyed at the end of the battle.

Q2. Does a spirit with Curse always win the battle when it attacks?
A2. No, that is wrong. The blocking spirit is destroyed by Curse at the end of the battle. The showdown step comes before that, so the Curse spirit can be destroyed by comparing BP.

Q3. When a spirit with Curse attacks and is destroyed by comparing BP, does the Curse effect go away?
A3. No, it does not. When a spirit with Curse is blocked and is destroyed at the battle resolution, the blocking spirit is still destroyed through Curse.

Q4. Is Curse nullified by Armor?
A4. Yes, spirits that specify the color of the Curse spirit in their Armor effect are unaffected by Curse.

A5. No, it cannot. The effect targets the spirit that blocked the spirit with Curse.

Q6. When a spirit with Curse attacks and is destroyed by magic during flash timing, does the Curse effect go away?
A6. Yes, it does. If the spirit with Curse is destroyed before the showdown step, the effect of Curse does not activate.

A9. They stay attached to the spirit that had been braved.

Q10. When a brave spirit that had cards put under it is destroyed and the brave that was attached remains in spirit condition, are the cards that were underneath placed under the spirit-condition brave?
A10. No, they are sent face-up to the trash along with the destroyed spirit.

High Speed

Q1. What is High Speed?
A1. It is an effect that allows you to summon spirits from your hand during flash timing. However, the summon cost and the core to put on the summoned spirit can only be taken from the reserve at this time.

Q2. When can High Speed be used?
A2. Spirits with High Speed may be summoned on your main step and on all the flash timings during the attack step.

  • (1) Your Main Step
  • (2) Your Attack Step: the flash timing after you declare an attack
  • (3) Your Attack Step: the flash timing after your opponent declares a block
  • (4) Opponent’s Attack Step: the flash timing after your opponent declares an attack
  • (5) Opponent’s Attack Step: the flash timing after you declare a block

Q3. There is no core in your reserve when trying to summon a spirit with High Speed. What happens?
A3. The summon cost and all the cores to put on the spirit must be paid from the reserve. Therefore, if there are no or not enough cores in your reserve, the summon fails. The spirit that failed to summon is returned to the hand, and the field is restored to how it was before the summon attempt was made.

Q4. Can a spirit with High Speed be summoned when you attack and the opponent does not block?
A4. No, you cannot. There is no later flash timing if no block declaration is made.

Windstorm

Q1. What is Windstorm?
A1. When a spirit with Windstorm attacks and is blocked by an opposing spirit, the opponent must exhaust some number of their spirits equal to the number specified by the Windstorm effect.

A2. It is specified by the ": 1" part of "Windstorm: 1", in this case indicating that one spirit would be exhausted.

Q3. A spirit with Windstorm is blocked by a spirit with “Armor: Green”. In this case, is Windstorm nullified?
A3. No, it is not. Armor: Green cannot negate Windstorm.

Q4. When Windstorm is activated, can Armor: Green negate the effect?
A4. Yes, it can. The spirit with Armor: Green does not need to be exhausted.

Q5. When The BladeKingBeast Byak-Garo with Windstorm: 2 is combined with The Ruins of Strange shaped Rocks’s LV1/LV2 effect that gives Windstorm: 1, does it get Windstorm: 3?
A5. No, it stays as Windstorm: 2. Windstorm cannot be stacked, and the number that is larger takes precedence.

Bunshin

Q1. What is Bunshin?
A1. You place cards from your deck face-down on the field and move core from the reserve to them to treat them as spirits. The cards that become spirits through Bunshin are called "Bunshin Spirits".

Q2. What does the 2 of "Bunshin: 2" mean?
A2. This indicates the number of Bunshin spirits to be put onto the field. If the number is 2, up to 2 cards from the deck can be placed face-down on the table and have core added to them to be put in as Bunshin Spirits.

Q3. When a Bunshin spirit attacks and is not blocked, can it reduce the opponent's life?
A3. Yes, it can. Bunshin spirits have one symbol, so they can reduce the life by attacking.

A5. Yes, Bunshin spirits are treated as spirits with no printed effects.

Q6. What happens when a Bunshin spirit is destroyed?

Q7. What happens to Bunshin spirits when returned to the hand or deck?
A7. They do not return to the hand or deck, and are instead placed to the trash face-up.

Q8. When you have The Inverse Tower of Frozen Icicle and put out Bunshin spirits, can you place one core from the void to your white spirits?
A8. No, you cannot. Bunshin spirits are placed onto the field, not summoned.

Q9. Can you flip open your face-down Bunshin spirits on field and look at the contents?
A9. No, you cannot check what the card is.

Armor

Q1. What is Armor?
A1. Cards with “Armor: X” (X being a color, differing by card) are unaffected by spirit/nexus/magic effects of the designated color, and may not be targeted by them either.

Q2. What does it mean by being unaffected by the opponent’s spirit/nexus/magic effects?
A2. For example, a spirit with Armor: Red cannot be targeted by an opposing red spirit’s “destroy one opposing spirit” attack, and is unaffected by the effects of an opposing red magic’s “destroy all spirits with 3000 BP or less” effect.

Q3. Can Armor block against target attacking?
A3. Yes, spirits with Armor cannot be target attacked by spirits with the designated color.

Q4. When a spirit with Armor battles against an opposing spirit with the color designated by Armor, is it not destroyed even if its BP is less?
A4. No, the comparison of BP through battle is not an opposing spirit/nexus/magic effect, so BP is compared as usual and the spirit with lower BP is destroyed.

Q5. When the opponent uses an effect like “for each opposing exhausted spirit”, does that include your spirit with Armor?
A5. Yes, it is included. Armor is unaffected by effects, but it counts for effects like “for each opposing exhausted spirit” where it is part of a condition.

Q6. Can Armor: Red negate The Burning Battlefield’s LV2 effect?
A6. Yes, it can negate it. If all your spirits have Armor: Red, you do not have to block. But if at least one spirit does not have Armor: Red, you must block.

Q7. Is a spirit with Armor: Red unable to block the first attack of the turn by The Burning Battlefield’s LV2 effect?
A7. No, a spirit with Armor: Red can block.

Q8. When the opponent uses Deadly Balance and there is a spirit with Armor: Purple on your field, must you choose a spirit other than the one with Armor?
A8. Yes, you must choose a spirit that does not have Armor: Purple. If all your spirits have Armor: Purple, you do not have to destroy any spirits.

Q9. When made unable to block by Top Supra, does Armor: Purple negate the effect?
A9. No, it does not. Top Supra’s effect does not target opposing spirits.

Q10. Can a spirit with Armor: Red/White get Armor: Red/Purple/Green as well from The IceBeast Mam-Morl’s LV2/LV3 effect?
A10. Yes, it can. A card cannot have multiple Armor effects, but you can increase the colors designated by Armor. In this case the spirit gets Armor: Red/Purple/Green/White.

Q11. Is the summon effect of a brave summoned in spirit form negated by Armor?
A11. No, it is not. “When this Brave is Summoned” effects are brave effects.

Q12. When a brave summoned and direct braved onto a spirit, is the summon effect of the brave negated by Armor?
A12. No, it is not. “When this Brave is Summoned” effects are brave effects.

A1. By exhausting your spirit with Ice Wall on your opponent’s turn, you can negate the effect of a magic card of the color designated by Ice Wall.

Q2. Must Ice Wall be activated whenever the opponent uses a magic card?
A2. No, you may choose whether to negate the effect of the magic.

Q3. The opponent uses Meteor Storm during their flash timing, and you use The ResourcefulGeneral Gondlir’s Ice Wall effect to negate it. At this time, after Ice Wall is used, is it the opponent’s flash timing again?
A3. No, it is then your flash timing.

Q4. If the opponent’s magic is negated through Ice Wall, can you place one core from the void to your The Merman Apkareel?
A4. Yes, you can. Even if the effect is negated, it still counts as the use of magic.

Q6. When magic is negated by the opponent’s Ice Wall, must the cost still be paid?
A6. Yes, it must be. After the cost of the magic is paid and its effect is activated, it can be negated through Ice Wall.

Q6. When the opponent uses Danse Macabre and Ice Wall is used after the opponent discards from their hand, is Danse Macabre’s effect negated?
A6. No, this cannot happen. When the opponent uses Danse Macabre, you must be told the target before the opponent discards and then decide whether to use Ice Wall. If Danse Macabre’s effect is negated through Ice Wall, your opponent cannot discard from their hand.

Q7. When the opponent uses The FallenDragonDeity Venu-Lucifer’s “When Braved” effect and uses a magic of the same color designated by Ice Wall, can that magic effect be negated?
A7. No, it cannot be. The FallenDragonDeity Venu-Lucifer’s “When Braved” effect activates the magic’s effect immediately, but it does not count as the use of magic, so Ice Wall cannot be used.

Heavy Armor

Q1. What is Heavy Armor?
A1. Cards with “Heavy Armor: X” (X being a color, differing by card) are unaffected by spirit/brave/nexus/magic effects of the designated color, and may not be targeted by them either.

A1. Unlike Armor, Ultra Armor also defends against the effects of Ultimates.

Q3. Can a spirit with Ultra Armor: Purple gain Heavy Armor: Purple/White from the LV2 effect of The Floating Island on the Mercury Sea?
A3. Yes it can. As Ultra Armor and Heavy Armor are different effects, a spirit can have both.

Q2. Can an opponent's "destroy all spirits with 3000 BP or less" effect switch targets to a Kagemusha spirit with 4000 BP alone?
A2. Yes, it can change targets. Effects that would not normally affect the Kagemusha spirit can change targets to it.

Q3. When an opponent's "destroy all spirits with 3000 BP or less" effect switches targets to a Kagemusha spirit with 4000 BP alone, is the Kagemusha spirit not destroyed?
A3. Yes, that is correct

Q4. Can the effect of The GiantArmCleverMachineMusha Rakan's LV2/LV3 effect be switched to the Kagemusha spirit alone?

Q5. When your spirit with Soul Core on it is targeted by an opposing effect, can multiple Kagemusha spirit cards be summoned?
A5. Yes, they can be summoned. In that case, all Kagemusha spirit cards to be summoned must be shown at once, the turn player must decide what order they go in, and lastly only the summoned spirits will be the targets of the effect.

Q6. When Soul Core is placed to a spirit summoned through Kagemusha and that spirit becomes the target of a new effect, can another card in the hand with Kagemusha be summoned?
A6. No, it cannot be summoned.

Q7. When Kagemusha is activated, are effects that target cards in the hand or trash shifted to the Kagemusha spirit?
A7. No, they are not. Only spirits, ultimates, braves, and nexuses on field that are targeted at the same time can have the effect shifted from them. Even if targeted at the same time, cards in the hand, deck, trash, or burst zone do not have the effect shifted from them.

Q8. The opponent attacks with Homuracheetah with Soul Core on it and targets one spirit and one nexus. At this time, is the nexus destroyed if Kagemusha is activated?
A8. No, it is not destroyed. After Kagemusha is activated, effects that simultaneously targeted ultimates or nexuses have their effects changed to the Kagemusha spirit alone.

Q9. When the timings of targeting spirits vary in the same effect, such as with Rush, "after that", and "after that effect activates" effects, can the effects targeting spirits during different timings be shifted to a spirit summoned through Kagemusha?
A9. No, that is incorrect. Even if it is a single effect, it cannot change effects that have different timings. However, if another spirit is summoned through Kagemusha at that separate timing, then it is possible.

Q10. After a spirit with Soul Core on it is targeted by Showdown and Kagemusha is activated, can the Kagemusha spirit compare BP?
A10. Yes, it can. However, The CleverMachineTactician Shimokaze is unaffected by spirit effects, so after it becomes targeted, the effect is nulled and BP is not compared.

A2. No, you must activate the effect if possible.

Q3. If you have a spirit with Holy Life, can you add a core from the void to your life when any spirit decreases the opponent’s life?
A3. No, only when the opponent’s life is decreased by the spirit with Holy Life itself can you place one core from the void to your life.

A4. No, it may not be. If it does not have Holy Life when the life is decreased, one core cannot be added from the void to your life.

Q5. When a spirit with Holy Life with LV2/LV3 attacks at LV1 and is leveled up mid-battle with Build Up to LV2, decreasing the opponent’s life while having Holy Life, can one core from the void be added to your life?
A5. Yes, it can be. Even if it does not have Holy Life during the attack declaration, if it has Holy Life when the life is decreased, one core from the void is added to your life.

Q6. When a spirit with Holy Life becomes a double symbol spirit by the effect of Double Hearts and decreases the opponent’s life, are two cores from the void added to your life?
