Kurotaru (クロタール) is a character in the anime and manga series Battle Spirits Shounen Gekiha Dan
Appearance[]
He has blue skin, a long tongue and a serpentine body with a long tail. He has long, wavy purple hair and horn-shaped ears. His battle form is a red vest with two protruding edges that go over his shoulders.
Personality[]
Sadistic and cruel, he has a thirst for killing and destruction. Known as the Assassin Kurotaru, he is feared throughout Grand Rolo, and his direct killing power is said to surpass the Otherworld King's.
Biography[]
Kurotaru was an assassin that even the Otherworld King feared. According to Yuuki, he once went after the Otherworld King's life. He had been imprisoned for a long time by the Otherworld King, but was released after he merged a part of Grand Rolo with the Earth in order to hunt down Yuuki and Kajitsu. He accepted the assignment gleefully.
He confronts Yuuki and Kajitsu while they were visiting their old home, and traps them into a dome of vines using his magic, isolating them from their allies. He begins a battle against Yuuki, which would also hurt Kajitsu when Yuuki took damage, but in exchange, Yuuki was able to use both his and Kajitsu's decks as a hybrid. Even though Kurotaru appeared to have the upper hand during the fight, Yuuki summoned his new white and green hybrid X-Rare, The DoomKnightLord Ragna-Rock, and took all his Lives in one shot. He disappeared into a black puddle after being defeated.
