Jade Thunder (碧雷；hekirai) is a family introduced in BS60, possessed exclusively by Green cards. Being introduced in the same timing, Jade Thunder family cards are designed to play around counters and Contract Advent. While all Jade Thunder family cards have secondary or even tertiary families, most of their effects bind them together through the Jade Thunder family.
Play Style[]
As a Green deck, Jade Thunder particularly has more options in removals than any Green decks in history. Following the trend of the meta it is released in, the deck has Grandwalker Nexus destruction, and a fair few of Spirit removals. This family also introduces more Nexus removals, giving the color more control options. Furthermore, Green usually has the trend of drawing cards up to the number of opponent's hand, but this family also introduces drawing up to the number of cards on the opposing board, giving the deck more ways to draw in case the opponent is also low in hand size. The BS61 set also introduced the Mystery Contract family, as well as new Jade Thunder family cards which support said family. As such, the Jade Thunder family can be classified into two official decks, one supporting the Thunder Contract family, and the other one supporting the Mystery Contract family. The Mystery Contract deck clearly focuses on spam attacks as well as effect summon.
