Ice Princess (氷姫; hyouki) is a family in the game that exists since BS01.
It premiered in BS01, and has remained as a small family for a long time. Ice Princess Spirits are primarily White, with some exceptions. They all appear to be humanoid and feminine, often with white or light blue skin. In early sets, Spirits of this family are usually drawn by Junko Taguchi. From Ultimate era onward, however, artist like Nakashima Tai joined in and the art style for Ice Princess diversified.
In Heroes era, it was one of the major family in White, featuring Norse goddesses and historical figures like Joan of Arc. They commonly own Ice Wall.
In Ultimate era, it was the family of one of the investigators, and appeared as ultimate supports like The FatePrincessDeity Skuld.
While Ice Princess continued to make an appearance or two throughout various eras, it was never under the main spotlight.
In Rebirth era, the family has finally become a major family and obtained its own deck, X-Rare, and exclusive supports. While possessing fair defense power, the deck is more on the aggressive side of White, and rose to become one of the dominating decks in the era. It makes great use of the Rebirth mechanic and Grandstone.
