Guraguri (ぐらぐり) is a character in the anime and manga series Battle Spirits Shounen Toppa Bashin
Appearance[]
A yellow turtle with a blue shell. He wears a blue stone on his collar.
Personality[]
Intelligent in Battle Spirits, despite not playing, and a good teacher. He can be a bit bossy.
Biography[]
Guraguri is Card Sensei's pet turtle. Because Card Sensei's stone was awakened before the series, he already had the ability to speak.
Meganeko once believed that she saw Sensei and Guraguri talking while at school. She confessed this to Sensei, along with the fact that she knew he was with Numbers Elite, and begged him to teach her Battle Spirits. Guraguri accepted, despite Sensei's opinion, revealing that he could indeed speak.
When Meganeko came over to train, Guraguri had prepared training tools, including special pl
aying cards with haikus on them. He and Card Sensei prepared Meganeko for her first tournament. During this tournament, Sensei resigned from Thousand Spirits Group. He decided to move away, and Guraguri chose to come with him.
Later, Bashin battled against King Uchuuchouten, using a six life system. Each life represented the stones held by the chosen card battlers. When these stones were destroyed, the spirits inside the pets would also be destroyed. When Guraguri's life was lost, he reverted to a normal turtle. His last words were to tell Card Sensei to take care of Masako.
In the epilogue, it's implied that the stones are restored, and so Guraguri would be able to speak again.
Trivia[]
He shares a seiyuu with Number Eight, Mira from Battle Spirits Shounen Gekiha Dan, Queen Gilfam from Battle Spirits Brave, Chihiro's Mother from Battle Spirits Heroes and Grenada and Kogane from Battle Spirits Sword Eyes.
