Eolus (イオラス) is a character in the anime and manga series Battle Spirits Brave.
Appearance[]
Eolus looks like a bulldog, with blue skin (fur?) except for a black area around his mouth. Though he stands on two legs, he always seems hunched over. He wears a beige shirt, pants and boots, and has a red spiked collar and armbands.
Personality[]
Eolus puts up a very tough exterior, but is actually much more sentimental. He is loyal to Barone to the point of mimicking his battle style.
Biography[]
Eolus is one of Barone's servants. After seeing how the other mazoku looked down on Barone after his trial for ignoring orders, he wanted to help Barone by defeating Dan. However, Barone disapproved of the idea. Zazie told Eolus the story of Icarus, explaining that Eolus could (metaphorically) fly to the moon, but left out the ending about Icarus' wings burning up. He persuaded Eolus to battle Dan anyway.
Eolus was defeated by Dan, who was more prepared after his battle with Barone. Angry, Barone told him he didn't want to see him again.
He and Flora returned, however, after Barone was forced to give up Rome to Zazie. They both were opposed to Zazie being there. Despite being upset with him before, Barone still welcomed Eolus back. However, he soon left Rome on his own, leaving Eolus and Flora behind.
The two eventually found Barone in Chicago, where Flora battled against him. After the battle, Barone was acting like his normal self again. He invited Eolus to help him gather the 12 Zodiac X-rares.
Soon after Eolus and Barone left, Barone ended up in battle against Duc. He was defeated, and after the match, Duc attempted to blow up his core bullet, which fell into the ocean. Eolus rescued him, and concerned for his master, he contacted the Sophia to ask for help. While Barone was being treated, Eolus stayed at their base.
He later went to Oct, which fell into chaos after the apparent murder of the queen. Barone, who saw what was happening, chose to return as well and try to unify the mazoku. Along with Mai, who came with Barone, they attempted to gather all the Zodiac X-rares on their own. Eolus was able to acquire The MachineLionDeity Strikewurm-Leo, which he gave to Barone.
Before the final battle, Barone met with Eolus and Flora again, telling them to make a grave for him in Rome if he died.
In the epilogue, Eolus is seen in the audience during Barone's speech.
