Blood Crystal (血晶；kesshou) is a family introduced in BS60, possessed exclusively by Purple cards. Being introduced in the same timing, Blood Crystal family cards are designed to play around counters and Contract Advent. While all Blood Crystal family cards have secondary or even tertiary families, most of their effects bind them together through the Blood Crystal family.
Play Style[]
Currently, the Blood Crystal family has two official decks, each one supporting a different secondary family. There is the Blood Contract deck which focuses on self-milling and depletion, and there is the Curse Contract deck which focuses on self-destruction and destruction effects based on core amount. The Blood Contract deck also leans towards summoning cards from trash, while the Curse Contract deck leans towards summoning cards from hand.

- The name 血晶 consists of two kanji, 血 (blood) and 晶 (crystal). The term is not a regular term, but rather a pun between 血漿 (blood plasma) and 結晶 (crystallization). All three terms are pronounced as kesshou.
