Battle Spirits: Brave X(バトルスピリッツ ブレイヴX) is a manga inspired by Bandai's trading card game. It ran in the monthly magazine, V Jump, during the run of the anime version of Battle Spirits Brave. It was targeted at a slightly older audience than the version serialized in Kero Kero Ace, and is a different take on the series.
It was drawn by Satoshi Kinoshita

Differences between the Anime and Manga[]
-The plot only loosely follows the anime, with the premise of the Sophia crew attempting to collect the 12 Zodiac X-rares, and defeat the mazoku.
-Kenzo, Stella, Suzuri, En, Fant, Zolder, Gilfam, Geraid and Rugain do not appear, along with basically all other minor characters. Flora, Eolus, Duc and Kazan do appear, but with very minor roles.
-Mai has the ability to hear the voices of spirits, and with this power, can locate the 12 Zodiac X-rares. She is captured by Zazie because of this.
-Dan's key card is Rising-Apollodragon from the start.
-Barone has The CancerBushin Cancerd from the start.
-The 12 Zodiac X-rares are being used as a weapon to fight against the mazoku, rather than to prevent the Earth's reset. Therefore, no heroic sacrifice is needed at the end, making it happier than the anime.
