Introduction

BS68, entitled Contract Saga: True Volume 1 – Battle of the Gods (契約編:真 第1章 神々の戦い Keiyaku-hen: Shin Dai-isshō: kamigami no tatakai?), is the sixty eighth set of the trading card game, starting the Contract Saga: True era. It was released in Japan on April 27th, 2024. Together with SD68 released a month ago, it introduced a new variant of Contract card: Contract Grandwalker Nexuses, and related keywords.

Grandwalker Hades, hinted in the lore since Ultra Advent era, would finally be playable with this set as one of the Contract Grandwalker Nexuses. Athena, another Olym Grandwalker Nexus, is remade into a Contract Grandwalker Nexus. The last Contract Grandwalker Nexus is Kinich-Ahau, the sun god in Mayan mythology that is classified into a new faction.

This set also introduces a new rarity, NX Rare ("N" stands for "Notorious") for the year, which will feature notorious villains in the lore. The MagiDeity Larvandad, one of the most versatile cards used in game ever since the Contract era, is reprinted in the set with four different art as BOX Purchase Promo. Like BS60, there would be reprints of versatile magic cards in this set. Each of them will also come with a secret art featuring existing Grandwalker Nexuses that players may obtain at a low hit rate.

The set contains a total of 105 cards: 60 Commons, 18 Rares, 12 Master Rares, 9 X-Rares, 3 Contract X-Rares, and 3 NX-Rares. Among them, 7 cards are reprint cards. Secret versions exist for 34 cards among the cards in this set.

Each box comes with 4 X-Rares, 1 CX-Rare, 2 NX-Rares, and 7 Master Rares. Each carton comes with two reprint Magic cards in their secret version, and four cards with X-Rare or higher rarity in their secret version.
