BS64, entitled Contract Saga: Realm Volume 1 - Shimmering of Blades (契約編：界 第1章：閃刃 Keiyaku-hen: Kai Dai-isshō: Sen-Jin), is the sixty fourth set of the trading card game, and the first set in the Contract Saga: Realm era and first set in Block 10. The title of this set was created to pay tribute to the naming method of the first nine sets in game (Two-worded Kanji). Three new Contract Spirits in Red, Green, White colors are introduced in the set. Unlike previous Contract Spirits, they are designed to work with Braves. Their designated weapons are also included in the same set. These new Braves will interact with your number of counters. Apart from the new decks, there would also be support for previous Contract decks, Kai's side's Contract Spirits' decks in particular. New Ultimate cards that supports the Mega Deck released one month prior to this product, SD65, would also be included. While not in a great amount, there are also useful support cards for decks that were released before True-Rebirth Era so that players can add to their old decks. Celebrating the 15th Anniversary of Battle Spirits, this set introduces the new rarity, XV Rare. (XV = 15 in Roman numerals) The XV Rare cards would be a remake of the first 20 X-Rare cards in game, and in other words all the X-Rares in Bashin Toppa era. Each set will come with 5 XV Rares, and each of them would have a parallel art version drawn by non-regular BS artist. The artist in charge for BS64's XV rare parallel arts is Shishizaru (獅子猿). While XV Rares are in place, XX-Rares would not be included. This makes BS64 the first set without XX Rare and Campaign Promos ever since XX was implemented. As a part of the 15th Anniversary Campaign, each BOX of BS64 would come with a pack of BS01-BS05's design sleeves (20 pc). Meanwhile, due to various reasons, the selling price of each pack is increased from 300 yen to 330 yen, a price-rise ever since BS44's adjustments. This set was released in Japan on May 27th, 2023, together with a Start BOX Set that includes ten random packs of this set + fixed cards for beginners. The set contains a total of 107 cards: 60 Commons, 18 Rares, 12 Master Rares, 3 Contract X Rares, 9 X-Rares, 5 XV-Rares. This set has total of 20 parallel art cards. While the number of XV-Rare can range from 0~3, each Box is guaranteed to come with one random parallel art card. | |||
