Assault Contract (突契約; totsu-keiyaku) is a family introduced in BS64, possessed exclusively by the Contract cards The Eagle Partner, Gut and Top Buddy, Aibou, as well as the Scarlet Flame family cards with Contract Advent that support Gut.
Unlike other Contract families, the word "突" in the name can have various meanings in different context. Interestingly, being introduced in a set that comes on the 15th anniversary of the game, the color and the word "突" reminds one of Bashin Toppa (馬神突破), the name of the protagonist of the first-ever Battle Spirits anime and the iconic figure of Battle Spirits in the first era. Coincidence or not, the XV-Rare in the family is The DragonEmperor Siegfried XV, the remake of Toppa's first key Spirit, The DragonEmperor Siegfried. Such relation is hence adopted when translating the name of the family.
